Fabrece is a Master’s degree candidate in the UCSD Masters in Clinical Research program. His study revolves around the geospatial analysis of cycling-based traumatic injury in San Diego, CA.

Sarah Z. Mahasin, MBBS (2019)

Dr. Mahasin was a Master’s degree candidate from the UCSD Masters in Clinical Research program. She completed her thesis in the Spring quarter of 2019, titled Factors Affecting Functional Outcomes in Trauma Patients After Inpatient Rehabilitation. She presented her study at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine 2018 Annual Conference in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Mahasin is currently a resident physician at Case Western University Hospital in Cleveland, OH.

Anderson Penha, MD (2018)

Dr. Penha was a Master’s degree candidate from the UCSD Masters in Clinical Research program. He completed his thesis in the Winter quarter of 2019, titled Left ventricular systolic dysfunction predicts poor survival in traumatic brain injury. This study was presented at the 2018 American Medical Association Research Symposium held in National Harbor, MD. His presentation won second place in the International Medical Graduates section.

Dr. Penha is currently an anesthesiology resident at the University of Washington Health System in Seattle, WA.

Charlotte Kwong (2017)

Charlotte was an undergraduate student researcher from Columbia University. Her summer project is titled A spatial analysis of the trauma population in an urban region of San Diego County.

judi abegania, Mph (2016)

Judi earned her Master's degree in Public Health from San Diego State University in May of 2017. Her management project, based on Mercy Trauma data, was in the evaluation of cost differences between trauma patients with deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
